Before painting, the surface must be clean, dry, and free from contaminants. For aluminum, iron, carbon steel, and non-rusted steel: the surface must be cleaned and roughened manually or mechanically using sandpaper or abrasive cloth to clean and increase adhesion. For steel and galvanized sheet: the surface must be clean, dry, and free of zinc salts. Cleaning method is the same as above. For surfaces with existing old paint: sandblasting or high-pressure water cleaning to remove contaminants, or if the damaged paint layer is not completely removed, coarse sanding is required, followed by applying one coat of paint and sanding again to ensure good surface quality.
